Carnegie Hall is Bringing the Arts to Life for the 20th summer of Carnegie Kids' College!

Kids' College is an opportunity to expand learning in and through the arts in a safe, nurturing environment. A primary objective of Kids' College is to instill a lifelong love of learning through the arts for its participants. Students have the chance to "try-out" different art forms at Kids' College; they identify new skills within themselves, boosting self-esteem. At Carnegie Kids' College there is little risk for failure, due to the support mechanisms in place - Teaching Artists, Volunteers, Peers and Administration.

Please note that enrollment is determined by the class year youth is entering, not by AGE. Home schooled youth should enroll based on what class they would be entering in the public school system. Children entering kindergarten and first grade must enroll in the Kinder classes: Kinderkunste, Kinderbewegung and Kindermusik®. Please take note of grade requirements for specific classes and afternoon classes. Most of the morning classes are for students entering grades 2-7. The afternoon classes are for students entering grades 4-7. Every possible effort is made to accommodate class requests, however occasionally we must make substitutions. Some classes may not be offered due to insufficient enrollment. Carnegie Hall reserves the right to cancel classes if necessary. Classes do fill up; up to 5 children will be waitlisted per class, should openings become available.

The Kids' College day consists of two parts. Students in grades 4-7 can register for the Morning Session and/or the Afternoon Session. Students in grades K-3 can register for the Morning Session, which has three 60-minute classes, from 9:00am-12:30pm. NEW THIS YEAR: The Afternoon Session, which runs from 1:00pm-4:00pm, will have two 100-minute classes. Students staying for the Afternoon Session should bring a bag lunch. Lunch will not be provided.

NEW:
The afternoon session will be open to children in grades 2-7.
New start time is 8:50am – please bring your child to the auditorium by 8:50am. Morning classes will run from 9am til 12:30pm.
This summer we will offer two classes in the afternoon – one from 1-2:40pm and the 2nd class from 2:50-4:00pm.
