Carnegie Hall Foundation
Since 1902, Carnegie Hall has been an important landmark in Lewisburg. Originally serving as an auditorium and classroom building for the Greenbrier College for Women, today Carnegie Hall presents world-class performances, fine art, and educational programs to the community. Since the inception of Carnegie Hall, Inc. as a not-for-profit corporation in 1983, its mission has been to restore and maintain the historical significance of the hall and to operate as a regional arts and education center. The spirit of cooperation that began with Andrew Carnegie continues today through the generous charitable contributions of individuals, businesses, private foundations and public organizations.
The Carnegie Hall Foundation, Inc. was established in 2005 to create an endowment for Carnegie Hall, Inc. that would ensure the ongoing operation of this extraordinary regional arts and education center. Substantial endowments are essential to fiscally responsible and forward thinking not-for-profit corporations. An organization, such as Carnegie Hall, Inc., with a well-defined mission and a vital role in its community needs a strong endowment in order to weather economic downturns and ensure its growth and security. It is the goal of the Foundation to raise $10 million for this endowment to support the artistic and educational work of Carnegie Hall and to ensure that Carnegie Hall will be here to serve future generations.
Please join The Carnegie Hall Foundation in our effort to secure the future of Carnegie Hall through your tax-deductible contribution.
