Reduced elevation of the terrace and lawn, creating smoother transitions between spaces.

Terrace size tripled by lowering the elevation and regrading the surrounding lawn.
Expanded restroom facilities to better serve large audiences and event traffic.
Increased space for tents, allowing for larger or more complex event setups.
Enhanced structural support to accommodate heavier foot traffic, equipment, and performance needs.
Restored and strengthened outdoor gathering space, ensuring it can reliably host the Ivy Terrace Concert Series and other major community events.

New direct kitchen entrance, especially beneficial for caterers, renters, and teaching artists.
Added prep space adjacent to the renovated kitchen to support culinary classes, catering, and Appalachian Heritage programming.
Rebuilt terrace surface for durability, safety, and long‑term use.
Installation of new stone and brick retaining walls to stabilize the site and improve longevity.
