2019-2020 EDUCATION PROGRAMS

With the health and safety of our community in mind, we have made the decision to close Carnegie Hall to the public and postpone events, classes, and workshops starting tomorrow, March 17, to help #flattenthecurve and slow the spread of COVID-19. At this point, we anticipate being closed through March 31, but we will keep you updated as the situation evolves.

Stay tuned to emails and social media for updates about future events. If you have questions or concerns, please email us at info@carnegiehallwv.org or call the office (304) 645-7917 during regular business hours. We will also respond to messages on Facebook as quickly as we can.

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

FALL SEMESTER

UNIQUE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL AGES

As part of our commitment to lifelong learning, Carnegie Hall offers a series of classes and workshops in the spring and fall to enlighten and inspire learners of all ages. These unique learning opportunities are taught primarily in a small group setting. The maximum number of students is set by the instructor. Because space is limited, we recommend registering early.

KIDS' COLLEGE

CANCELED

After careful consideration, the Board of Directors of Carnegie Hall, with input from the staff, has determined that it is not feasible to hold Kids’ College this summer. While we and our students love Kids’ College and look forward to it every year, the health and well-being of our students, volunteers, staff, and community are our highest priorities.

The guidance provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources were key factors in reaching this decision.  We are all disappointed and will greatly miss seeing our Kids’ College students and their families, many of whom have participated in the program for two or more generations. However, given the nature of our facility and our camp activities, we believe this decision is in the best interest of our entire community.

We are already planning for Kids’ College 2021 and look forward to seeing everyone then. In the meantime, we will continue working to create other educational opportunities for the youth and adults in our region.
