Carnegie Hall Safety Protocols

Mainstage Performance Series

We at Carnegie Hall are excited to welcome you back to our Mainstage Performance Series. Below is a quick list of safety protocols that we have implemented with our shared priority of safety for all. We recommend being vaccinated, but no proof of vaccination is required.

The Hamilton Auditorium/Lobby seats and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned prior to performances. Hand-sanitation stations are located throughout the auditorium. Our new HVAC system is equipped with MERV13 filters and has an air exchange ratio or 7-8 times per hour per air handler (there are two) within the auditorium. We have also added what is known in the trade as an economizer which allows us to draw 100% outside air as opposed to recycling ambient air should the need arise.

Patrons are welcome to wear masks while inside Carnegie Hall, but their use is not required at this time.

If you have any onset symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend an event at Carnegie Hall. Our 2023–2024 customer commitment more readily accommodates mainstage performance ticket exchanges should you be unable to attend an event due to illness, or if an event needs to be reconfigured, rescheduled, or canceled.  If you are unable to use your tickets to a Carnegie Hall event, you may donate them to the Hall. To convert your ticket purchase to a donation, please notify Carnegie Hall prior to the performance either by email, by calling 304-645-7917, or in person at the Box Office. Ticket cancellations of any type cannot be accepted after the performance has begun. A tax receipt for your Carnegie Hall donation will be provided upon request.
