West Virginia University Symphony Orchestra

The West Virginia University Symphony Orchestra is one of the region's premiere music ensembles. The award-winning WVU Symphony Orchestra, led by Rotem Weinberg, WVU's Director of Orchestral Activities, is a principal ensemble of the WVU School of Music at the WVU College of Creative Arts.

The Symphony's lineup includes:

Villa Lobos - Sinfonietta No. 1

Beethoven - Piano Concert No. 5 "Emperor" Movements 2 & 3

Brahms - Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn

​

The WVUSO travels annually to perform at Carnegie Hall. The orchestra also makes other appearances throughout the state.
